Our favourite fragrances for HER for Spring 2018

Perfume for Spring 2018 for her ideas

With Spring just around the corner, both Mr Gist and I are revisiting our perfume and aftershave collections, the perfect excuse to find new signature scents for what we hope will be a warmer and brighter Spring.

Favourite fragrances for her

Here are the top four on my wishlist of favourite fragrances for her – Mr Gist, if you’re reading this (and I know you will…), this may help you for my upcoming birthday…

Chloé Eau De Parfum

Chloé Eau De Parfum

I adore Chloé. The height of femininity, Chloé is more than sixty years old but still smells fresh and modern. Floral powdery notes lure you in, with a more flirtatious head notes which are richer; you may detect magnolia and lily of the valley, partnered with warm amber and cedarwood. Or you may just think it smells AMAZING. And it really, really does. The bottle is cute and chic too.

Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream

Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream

I wore Daisy Dream on our wedding day; aside from being a sentimental fragrance for me personally, Marc Jabobs Daisy Dream is light and airy, perfect for Spring with its floral overtones. There are hints of blackberry, fresh grapefruit and succulent pear – but don’t worry, you won’t smell like a fruit bowl – for follow-up a feminine mix of jasmine flower and blue wisteria are present. It’s super-long lasting too, a timeless and gorgeous scent that will have you receiving complements all day long.

Marc Jacobs Decadence

Marc Jabobs perfume

Another perfume from Marc Jacobs; Decadence is probably more suited to evening-wear, it’s bold and glamorous, just like it’s handbag-shaped bottle. It’s sexy, sophisticated and a grown-up fragrance that will make you feel confident and truly decadent.

Calvin Klein CKIN2U

Favourite fragrances for her CKIN2U

Calvin Klein are well known for their floral perfumes and CKIN2U is a playful fragrance that I think is suitable for both daytime and evening. It’s straightforward but has a delicious ‘afterglow’, a pink grapefruit and sugary orchid lasting note which is both citrusy and perfect for Spring.

Top perfumes for Spring

There we have it; four gorgeous perfumes that are long-lasting, fresh and perfect for the brighter and longer days of Spring. Have I missed anything? Let me know in the comments! In the interim, let’s hope Mr Gist gets the hint!

Mr Gist: you can pick these fragrances up at Debenhams or The Perfume Shop… 😉

  1. I saw the photo was for Chloe Absolu de Parfum – do you prefer that version or the classic Eau de Parfum (the one that’s sixty years old)?

    1. Ah, good spot Carly 🙂 I ultimately prefer Chloe Absolu de Parfum, but Eau de Parfum is possibly more appropriate for Spring.

  2. Great choices, I love Daisy Dream by Marc Jacobs. xoxo
